At last. The holy grail of edit sounds. That one clip where a confused African male is going in an elderly-esque tone "What da hellll?" Pretty much every edit that uses this sound has one to numerous people asking in the comments what it came from. Guesses about the source have spawned EVERYTHING. People have said everything from Clarissa Explains It All to Squidbillies, from dcigs to Afroman.
Well, after seven long years, the guessing can draw to a close. Some kind, beautiful, wonderful individual posted the source on the edits wiki just yesterday.
The source? the video "Crackhead Thief #2" by some popular-in-2009-but-lost to-the-sands-of-time YouTuber, David Spates.
the best part? Unlike the "boobs" sound clip, this is actually a funny video.
I'd like to give props to AReallyAwesomeGuy117 for having had the closest guess out of any of us (referring to years ago when me and him were speculating about the sound and he pointed out that it had to be some random YouTube video and not any TV show/film/song because the sound quality sounded recorded in someone's house and not a studio)
now we just gotta find the exact Obama speech where he said that "700 billion" and the video "assrammer" comes from and we can all die happy

ALSO I, a while back discovered what that equallly elusive punch and grunt edit sound comes from!
It's part of an explosion sound effect in in the Source audio-file library (Source: the game-making engine Valve uses for their games) Proof https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubehaiku/comments/4yqcy9/haiku_eurgh/
