I have come up with a new idea for editing. It is the "Edit Skeleton". What is that? Well, you take an edit that has been off of YouTube for a while, preferably one you've seen and try to recreate it as close to the original based off of your knowledge of the editor's style. In essence, it is like a collab, but while a collab's script is written specifically for collabing this one was an already existing edit's script.
How exactly do you do this? Well for most edits you'd be having to go off 100% your memory of the dialogue (Do not worry about having all of it memorized, it does not have to be the same length as the original, it can be just one or two jokes for all I care). However, there is a way to see some of the dialogue of a lucky few taken-down edits. If you have an iPad and go onto a certain few YouTube videos that have been taken down, you can read the comments. Since people tend to write down good quotes from the video in the comments, which depending on the video's popularity can let you see a few quotes form the video to pratically the whole thing.
How did I get this crazy idea? There exist transcripts for Klusingolo's "Band Geeks" and "Squillam Returns" edits on the wiki. They're both gone (except a little of the latter) so I thought "What if I recreated those with the transcripts?". Of course those will be the first ones I do. After that I'm gonna skeleton "The Search For the Cleavland Steamer II: White Man's Burden" by AnalKookaburras. I used the iPad trick to get the majority of that video's quotes and story and I took the liberty of chronicling them on Anal's wiki page. Also helping matters is that this YTP contains a few of the original Speakonia sounds made for White Man's Burden.
Also, one last thing. I'm gonna edit a full movie. Not now, considering how much work that is, but only for a really, really special occasion that will probably never happen, like if I dethrone TheCaveManEngi in subs. (And even if that happens, NitroEdits has had instrest in ediitng the whole of Space Jam, so I'd let him go first)
What movie will that be if that happened? None other than the greatest airplane instruction video from the '80s, Barefoot Gen.
...That is an anime movie about a Hiroshima survivor struggling to grow up. I'd call myself a heartless fucking bastard, but hey a WWII-themed edit was gonna be happening sooner or later, what with "I AM ADOLF HITLER" being a common edit sound, SIM00 making "Benito Mussolini" an edit sound and TheAwesomeAsain72 making "Nazi" an edit sound.
